The shift
From mailbox statements to named holders.
The default music workflow still works like this: a release goes live, a usage report arrives months later, a single statement is delivered to one rightsholder, and every collaborator downstream has to wait, ask, and hope.
PODBUM®makes every holder legible on day one. Each release carries a split sheet naming every collaborator and rightsholder, the preview reads that sheet against any stream count, and each holder sees their share before a stream lands — not three quarters later. Today the rail is simulated; the future audited on-chain rail will make that legibility durably auditable.
How it works
Four moves, then the math is yours.
Register a release once; re-run the preview any time the sheet changes. Updates to splits are visible to every holder on the sheet.
Register the work, name the holders
Add the release, the primary artist, and the release date. Then list every entitled holder — collaborators, co-writers, sample owners — and their share of every stream.
Set the stream math
Dial in a hypothetical stream count on the release preview and the platform computes each holder’s payout from the split sheet. The numbers are deterministic, computed in the browser, and update live.

Each release preview produces a single open ledger. Holders see their share, the modeled stream count, and the destination they would settle to. What was a multi-page statement becomes a one-page preview a rightsholder can read at a glance.

Split-sheet discipline
Payouts follow the splits you set at registration. The platform enforces a 100% total and surfaces every holder on the sheet, so downstream conversations about share math start from the same numbers.

Use PODBUM® alongside any distributor, PRO, or sync partner. The release, the split sheet, and the preview are not load-bearing on the downstream chain — they describe it.
